About the Side by Side Program
Side by Side is a new program run by Berry Street as the lead agency and Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) as subcontractor as part of the Victorian Government’s Partnerships Addressing Disadvantage initiative.
Side by Side is an outcomes-based contract and aims to improve engagement, attendance and learning outcomes for some of Victoria’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children.
Your Opportunity
The Side by Side Team Leader will lead a small team of teachers and case managers who work with students and families to improve attendance and attainment across three primary schools in the Morwell region.
The role is a hybrid model of community outreach, in-office (Morwell location) and working from home.
Your Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will be able to Implement and maintain standards/policies and systems to manage the work and reporting requirements for the program whilst providing support, supervision and direction to staff.
Promoting a culture of support and continuous improvement in the service delivery of the program is necessary to the role.
Be able to maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Qualification requirements for this role are a minimum Bachelor qualification in the following fields: Social Work, Education, Psychology, Welfare or related discipline is essential.
