About the Division / Team
Our Interstate network is responsible for the management of approximately 6,000km of track and servicing a broad range of supply chains. The team comprises more than 500 staff and 24 provisioning centres and depots, which continue to deliver major corridor maintenance works and projects across the country to increase the efficiency and capacity of Australia's rail network.
About the Opportunity
Carry out signal maintenance activities on the ARTC network efficiently, effectively and safely in accordance with documented signal maintenance procedures in a professional manner.
- Ensure that all signals equipment is kept in satisfactory operating condition by regularly inspecting for wear and defects and promptly renewing or replacing components as required.
- Ensure the safe and reliable operation of all signalling equipment, as detailed on the roster for the particular section, by carrying out routine maintenance and inspection procedures in accordance with Technical Maintenance Plans, ARTC Specifications and the Works Order system or other maintenance planning system.
About You
To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate:
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
- Experience in field fault finding, maintenance and repairs.
- Current drivers' licence and proficiency in driving a manual car.
Desirable
- Cert IV in Rail Signalling.
