About The role
We’re seeking an experienced and passionate fulltime Signal Electrician to join the DB Rail team. Based in Mascot; you will get the opportunity to travel around Sydney and Wollongong completing maintenance and signalling projects across the Sydney Trains Network, with a potential to travel to regional areas as and when required.
- Perform installations, maintenance & repairs for signalling equipment and related components.
- Install and repair mechanical signalling equipment.
- Test and assist with testing of Signalling equipment and systems.
- Competent in reading and understanding technical instructions and detail drawings.
- Maintain records & documentation relating to maintenance, asset condition.
- Report on maintenance performed verses the scheduled maintenance program, equipment performance and condition irregularities.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement to systems and processes.

To be successful, the following is required:
- Must be a current Licenced Sydney TrainsSignal Electrician.
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Construction industry white card.
- Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW), with the following.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role.
- Certificate of Competency on both Sydney Trains and ARTC networks as a Signal Electrician would be highly regarded.
- Full ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including Rail CAT 1 -Specific medical & drug and alcohol screening.
- Available to cover weekends, based on project requirements.
