About the role
A five to six month contract role (with possible extension) has become available for a Site Administrator to join our team in Singleton, NSW with a start date in late March 2024.
Your main role will be to assist the Project Manager and Site Foreman with site-based administrative tasks and, depending on your skill set, you may have the opportunity to be involved in varying levels of project management, procurement, contract administration and labouring / site works.
The successful applicant will be detail focussed, self-driven, organised and able to multi-task. You will be required to start on site at 7am each day, working Monday to Friday. In exchange you will receive a competitive salary, work on an interesting project and be part of a supportive team.
The role would suit applicants with administrative, managerial or trade / labouring backgrounds and could be adapted for ‘best fit’ to maximise outcomes for us and you! For the right person, longer term employment may be considered.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist Site Foreman with administrative tasks including maintenance of site records
- Assist Site Foreman in liaising with client representatives
- Complete security access procedures for workers including escorting from the main gate to the site
- Induction of all personnel and plant to the site
- Assist in the procurement and management of subcontractors
- Conduct site audits, inspections and verifications
- Assist with daily and monthly reports
- Assist with safety and environmental management processes
- Adhere to timeframes and deadlines
- Be involved in site works – dependent upon skill set
- Experience in a similar or related role in the construction or engineering sector
Skills and experience
To be successful in this position you will ideally have:
- The ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with people at all levels
- The ability to work as part of a team towards a common goal but also the ability to work independently and manage your time to achieve certain outcomes
- Sound computer skills
- High attention to detail
- Well-developed organisational skills and be self-driven
- A humble attitude and a thirst to learn
- A drivers licence and ability to pass a criminal history check
- A good sense of humour
A Defence security clearance will be strongly regarded.
