A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Site Project Engineer to join our onsite projects team, in 2:1 roster.
You will be responsible for:
- Understands and complies with company and project policies, processes and guidelines.
- Take personal accountability for own safety and comply with safety culture.
- Actively promote environmental management initiatives.
- Act as a trouble shooter and ensure any potential problems are alerted to the appropriate senior team member.
- Build strong relationship and networks with clients, project teams, design teams and subcontractors.
- Prepare in accordance with project requirements the measurement of quantities as directed by others in the project team.
- Maintain an awareness of budgetary targets in the planning and execution of works.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of technical specifications.
- Identify and understand the scope of works and provide support to the supervisory team in understanding the scope of work.
- Assist in the preparation of lookahead programs for allocated work packages which meet the objectives of the project.
- Monitor progress ensuring that work quality and techniques are of a high standard and report regularly on progress and findings.
- Ensure that drawings are distributed to all of the relevant subcontractors and that all documents being used for construction are the current revision.
- Ensure that subcontractors complete the MDR’s and Inspection Test Plan’s (ITP’s) including coordinating the relevant subcontractor, consultant & client signoffs at the specified witness/hold points.
- Establish and maintain an effective quality process to ensure that all records, test results and inspections required under the contract are obtained.
- Assist with investigating and reporting on significant incidents and participate in all high-level investigations, as required.
- Participate in pre-start and toolbox meetings as required; and
- Complete weekly HSE workplace inspections.
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent.
- Up to 4 years’ experience in the construction and engineering industry.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding.
