About the Role

GDP Construct offer a range of different construction solutions to our clients across Victoria. We have a track record of performance in successfully delivering projects in commercial, hospitality, retail, industrial & medical fields. We have implemented OH&S systems that would be the envy of many large construction companies, but our smaller size allows us to be nimble and customer focused. We also put great faith in our ability to think outside the square and develop solutions that may save our clients time and money.

 Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day supervision of site, suppliers, trades
• Coordination and management of all trades on site
• Ensuring the project is delivered to the highest standard possible
• Responsible for on site program management, site safety and QA on a daily basis reporting to the Construction Manager
• Ability to solve problems on site and present options to management for approval
• Will assist the admin team in daily cost control
• Ensuring best building practices and procedures are always adhered to
• Ensuring correct OH&S procedures are always adhered to
• Effective and efficient communication with all parties involved in the project
• Paying keen attention to detail across the project from start to finish

About YOU:

• A trade or tertiary qualification in construction (carpentry background preferred).
• A minimum 3 years’ experience working for a construction company in Melbourne as a Site Manager, high end domestic preferred.
• Good tenure with previous employer(s)
• Excellent presentation and communication both written and verbal
• Computer literate
• You will be organised, highly motivated with a can-do attitude
• Strong budget management and reporting
