How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…
The key objective of the Site Services Officer is to review and issue Space Occupancy Permits to ensure construction activities are effectively managed and meet the minimum requirements for maintaining adequate levels of safety and amenity. Regular consultation with internal and external stakeholders will be required to ensure construction activities comply with the Local Government Act, Activities Local Law 2019, Building Act, Road Management Act 2004, Code of Practice for Building, Construction and Works, Construction Management Plan and Noise and Vibration Management Guidelines.
What you will bring...(selection criteria)
- Proven ability to deliver quality services in a range of environments including desk based task utilising property based permit information systems and site inspections liaising with owners, developers, builders and general stakeholders.
- Knowledge of construction related Local Laws.
- Proven written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated abilities in general administration
