About the Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Site Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing multiple home builds, ensuring that the completed works meet our stringent quality standards. As the Site Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate all site activities, manage subcontractors and trades, and maintain project schedules within budgetary constraints.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate, manage, and organise all site activities, including site staff, subcontractors, trades, and suppliers.
- Communicate site activities to all stakeholders and ensure timely response to job requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet building time frames and production plans.
- Maintain up-to-date schedules for each site, ensuring all suppliers and contractors complete their works within scheduled timeframes.
- Review plans, drawings, and variations for conformance with project specifications.
- Complete quality control reports per inspection per job and lodge them for entering into the construction schedule.
- Provide and update daily schedules and photos to document construction activities.
- Initiate meetings to establish the standards of care for each work feature and address any non-conformances.
- Verify the use of checklists and ensure work is completed to standard.
- Coordinate meetings with subcontractors to discuss quality issues and document the outcomes.
- Schedule and maintain a log of all code and independent inspections.
- Coordinate design changes/issues with the Project Manager and obtain necessary approvals.
- Ensure contractors adhere to correct building practices and procedures.
- Ensure safe work practices and maintain a safe working environment, complying with WHS legislation and Company policies at all times.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Experience and Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience in residential building construction.
- Valid building license and/or supervisor's license.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret plans.
- Proven track record of supervising various trades, ensuring adherence to deadlines and delivering high-quality workmanship in a safe manner.
- Carpentry experience (preferred).
- Tertiary qualifications in Building Design or equivalent education (preferred).
- A valid Construction OHS Induction Card (White Card).
- Current Australian Driver's License.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Sound knowledge of the building/construction industry within the residential construction market.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated creativity and initiative to find solutions to problems that may arise during construction projects.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills, ensuring efficient task prioritisation and completion.
- Demonstrated experience in using scheduling and building software, as well as proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent work ethic, reliability, and a highly motivated, can-do attitude.
