Hocking Constructions is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Site Supervisor to join their team in the construction of our company's unique building projects.
Hocking constructions is a family owned residential building business specialising in detailed custom homes. Our close knit team of site and office staff work closely together as a supporting and caring team, working on projects generally in the southern side of the city.
We take a great deal of pride in our projects and strive to provide the best possible result for our clients.
This is a full time position, with flexible hours as required to maintain current projects.
This will include but is not limited to the following.
- Supervise contractors
- Supervise and oversee Hocking Constructrions Staff
- Allocate tasks to staff and day to day management of staff
- Liaise with Project Managers for task priorities
- Ensure Hocking Constructions staff have materials and equipment as required
- Ensure site safety and use of SWIMS
- Code compliance
Competencies:
- Ability to work with limited supervision and also as an effective team member
- Ability to prioritise work and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound knowledge of safe working practices and procedures
- Working to a high standard in an efficient manner
The ideal candidate should have:
- Supervisors license
- Experience working in the building/construction industry
- A valid drivers license
- A white card
- The ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisation skills for workshop management
- Residential construction knowledge and understanding of quality practices
- Basic tools and PPE
- A passion for their job and working towards a goal
