The purpose of the role is to ensure the maintenance of a highly visible and professional service that acts as a deterrent in the case of any potential noncompliance with Company security related policies, procedures and regulations.Ensure effective and efficient on-site management of all security and safety aspects of the Site in accordance with the MSS Security Standing Instructions and site operating procedures (SOPs).
Leadership- Lead a team of security staff to ensure effective service and high standards of performance
- Responsible for ensuring staff are well presented and professional at all times
- Provide support, advice and guidance to all staff, including newly appointed team members
- Create, revise and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the site in line with MSS Standing Instructions and Client requirements
Staff Engagement & Performance Management:
- Provide first line management for staff across site
- Deliver feedback on performance
- Address conduct, performance and attendance issues as required in line with MSS policies
- Provide a positive work environment for staff ensuring any grievances and other issues are addressed promptly and in accordance with MSS policies
- Provide recognition and praise for positive work behaviours and performance
Customer Liaison
- Respond to customer queries and complaints promptly and effectively in full consultation with your managers
- Produce client reports as required or requested by a manager
- Ensure MSS procedures are aligned with client expectations
- Ensure appropriate escalation of issues in a timely manner
- Responsible for ensuring that staff adhere to client expectations at all times
Incident Management
- Respond to incidents as required including ensuring incident reports are completed promptly and to the required quality standard
- Ensure appropriate escalation of incidents in line with site requirements
- Contribute to scenario based desktop and practical training exercises as required
General- Provide leadership to ensure that all security protocols and services are delivered to a high standard at all times
- Provide support to the site manager as required
- Manage rosters for the site to ensure all duties are covered by appropriately trained staff
- Ensure all staff are appropriately licensed
