Civcon Civil & Project Management is a Western Australia Civil Construction and Project Management company, providing services to our niche client base.
We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Site Supervisor for full-time position based in the Perth metropolitan and also in remote regional areas of WA, working in particular on Water Corporation Projects .
The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of a site’s construction plan, as delegated by the Site Manager, to ensure its safe, effective and efficient delivery. This may involve planning, preparing, initiating, monitoring, adjusting and reporting on the delivery of the works, and monitoring of day labour’s and subcontractors’ performance.
Position Requirements
- Access, interpret and apply compliance documentation relevant to the work activity.
- Relay HSEQ rules and regulations, legislation and specific site instructions to team and subcontractors.
- Conduct site HSEQ audits as required, and, if necessary, direct the implementation of corrective measures.
- Contribute to the identification of site-specific delivery risks, and contingencies to be allowed for in the execution of the plan
- Contribute to the identification of the methodologies and work packages required for the execution of the construction plan to meet project delivery targets and specifications, and develop a firm construction schedule.
- Oversee site set-up, mobilisation and demobilisation as directed by the Site Manager.
- In consultation with the Site Manager, assign responsibilities and issue the construction management plan to team members and subcontractors, for the safe, effective and efficient implementation of the plan.
- Monitor the availability of materials to meet work schedules and the requirements of the works package.
- Oversee the site induction for all subcontractors.
- Allocate work packages to subcontractors to make effective use of available resources.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients and key stakeholders as appropriate to the role.
- Take action to ensure all personnel on site are clear about their responsibilities and the project requirements.
- Provide support for project site personnel, to ensure that the quality of the expected outcomes of the project and documented time lines are met.
- Manage the performance of day labour and subcontractors, and provide coaching as required to support their development.
Essential criteria:
- Minimum 5 years in underground utilities in particular drainage / sewer and Water experience
- Strong supervisory and people management skills
- Must be able to read and interpret plans/drawings and as constructed drawings
- High regard for safety and quality
- Intermediate computer skills
- Construction Safety Card (White Card)
