The Health & Safety Department at Mount Magnet are seeking a Health & Safety Superintendent to join the team.
Working 8 days on, 6 days off, this is a permanent opportunity FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton.
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, this role will:
- Support site Management with development and implementation of long-term strategic planning.
- Ensure effective Emergency Response capabilities are always available.
- Assist in the preparation of annual Health and Safety plans and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement to improve safety, improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs.
- Assist with the supervision and development of the Health and Safety team.
- Contribute to the effective operation of Site by promoting open and respectful working relationships.
- Ensure facilitation of regular safety inspections.
- Provide support and advice on Health and Safety issues to the site Management Team.
- Facilitate a culture of safety awareness and commitment.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, we would like to see;
- Diploma in Work Health Safety or equivalent
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
- Proven experience within a Health and Safety in a similar level position (senior or above)
- A thorough understanding of WA Mining legislation and application to safety, training and risk management.
- A sound understanding of statutory requirements – Work Health & Safety Act 2020 & Work Health & Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels of the organisation.
- A West Australian C class driver’s license (manual) and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access clearance purposes.
