yourtown is one of the pioneers of work-based Social Enterprises in Australia, having provided over 3,000 young people with paid work experience and training over the last 20 years.
Our program allows experienced tradespeople to work alongside youth workers to provide supervision and mentoring support for up to four participants engaged in labour intensive work, designed to build entry level skills.

Based at Bridgewater, TAS, and working as part of the National Social Enterprise leadership team, this role has responsibility for operational and line management of the Tasmanian Enterprises team, WHS and business and strategic planning and execution of Social Enterprise activities.
Your role will include:
lead and build a culture that demonstrates Safety Always
lead the TAS Social Enterprise team to ensure delivery of quality services
direct line management of the TAS team and management of the site
manage the achievement of financial and performance KPI’s and budgets
deliver business development and customer engagement activities
contribute to the development of tenders and submissions and quoting
lead the project management of fee for service and contracted works and programs

You will have demonstrated leadership and management experience and a willingness to work in a dynamic and innovative environment You will operate within a Safety Always environment and have the ability to lead within a strong safety culture.
You will bring:
passion, commitment and belief in young people
demonstrated experience in a leadership or management role
proven experience in project management and customer engagement
high level communication and skills in working with diverse groups
exposure to employment services training and an understanding of the labour market will be highly regarded
