Overview
The Project Manager Violence Abuse and Neglect is an experienced and highly competent clinician who delivers quality services and / or provides clinical / professional leadership to health professionals working in rural and remote areas of South Australia. Responsible for contributing to the implementation of legislative reforms relevant to Child Protection and Sexual, Domestic and Family Violence reform across the RMCLHN with regard to developing systems and structures under SA Health's commitment to a Safety Framework for addressing sexual, domestic and family violence in South Australia and the South Australian Government's strategy for keeping families and Children safe and well.
The Project Manager Violence Abuse and Neglect will work with all relevant stakeholders to ensure targeted and culturally appropriate screening, earlier intervention and reporting systems are embedded within RMCLHN to support vulnerable consumers in accordance with legislative requirements. Operating within a multi-disciplinary service context, the position embeds best practice standards through leading the implementation of safe, consumer focused services, and delivering, and supporting staff training across the breadth of the health service.
The Project Manager Violence Abuse and Neglect provides specialised knowledge, skills, and abilities in responding to consumers at risk of violence, abuse, and neglect and is responsible for leading improvements in the quality and safety, of services provided by RMCLHN.
Qualifications
Must hold a recognised qualification within the Social Work Profession and be eligible for (full) membership of the Australian Association of Social Work. For self- regulated professions it is desirable to participate in the professional associations accredited continuing professional development program.
A higher qualification in a relevant area such as health service and/or project management, professional specialisation / clinical education will be highly regarded.
