We are Creating Connections Therapy
At Creating Connections Therapy, we are dedicated to nurturing connections and building capacity for children, young people, and their families. We are seeking a compassionate and growth-oriented Social Worker and Therapist to join our collaborative team. Our focus is on providing holistic, family-centred support to children and young people, helping them access the right support when they need it.
About the role
As a Social Worker, you will work with children, young people, and their families to ensure they receive the necessary support and services. Your role will involve conducting assessments to identify children's needs, strengths, and areas requiring support, developing individualised therapy plans, providing direct therapy support, and working collaboratively with other professionals to enhance the well-being and development of children. This position requires travel for therapy appointments within the Northern region of Adelaide. You will be required to maintain access records and documentation including client reports.
About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll come with:
- Recognised Allied Health university qualifications.
- Registration with the appropriate registration body (AASW membership).
- Experience working effectively with children aged 0-18 years and providing trauma informed and neuro-affirming care, holistic and family-centred approaches.
- Confident oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of NDIS and child protection legislation.
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.
- Valid driver’s license and own car.
- Working With Children’s Check & National Police Clearance.
- COVID vaccination or valid exemption.
- Experience working with NDIS participants is preferred but not essential.
