We are currently looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in implementation of tailored solutions for seamless data management, compliance, and client care, enhancing efficiency and security of our business processes.
Location: Norwest, NSW 2153
Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 per annum
Role: Full-time
Key responsibilities include:
· Analyse the needs, and then design, test, and develop software in consultation with different teams and departments in the business.
· Identify software limitations and deficiencies in existing systems in the business and associated processes, procedures, and methods.
· Test and evaluate new programs within established testing protocols, guidelines, and quality standards to ensure the software performs to specification.
· Write, modify, and maintain program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications.
· Write and maintain end-user guides and operational procedures.
· Conduct software compatibility testing and deploy software/functional solutions.
· Utilize SQL for data validation, data analysis, defect analysis, and data migration.
· Test and debug software applications and resolve code errors and security challenges to ensure desirable functionality.
· Perform routine maintenance and updates to enhance software performance and security.
· Protect the security and privacy of the user data and other Confidential Information
· Ensure compliance with coding standards, software development methodologies, and company policies.
· Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in software design principles.
Requirements:
· Minimum 5-6 years’ experience in the IT industry
· Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
· Strong coding skills and a deep understanding of software development principles.
· Demonstrated experience in the end-to-end development and testing of software applications.
· Comprehensive knowledge of data transfer, storage, and merging various data sources.
Skills and Competencies
· Experience of conducting user training sessions for business intelligence gathering.
· Experience in a rapid delivery environment.
· Experience of working in cross functional teams for information gathering
· Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal abilities, communication skills, and time management
· Ability to work independently.
· Efficient time management skills, ensuring productivity and the timely delivery of software solutions.
Australian citizens and permanent residents are preferred.
