A real endeavour, shaped by you
We have multiple opportunities for Solution Architects within one of our Defence engagements that will support and improve the Strategic Combines Maritime Forces Pacific (SIE-CMFP). The resources within this contract will assist with other critical activities such as the Indopac Mission Network, Large File Transfer, and also with Fleet-CMFP assistance. They will also be responsible for:
- Implementation and transition to support of Wintel/LINUX components;
- Work closely with the Lead Solution Architect to progress technical changes through the Defence change process;
- Assist the Business Analyst and Technical Writer to complete and/or review technical support artefacts and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
- Produce solution designs and associated functional specifications;
- Assist in the development and implementation of migration plans;
- Scope and design the overarching solution design in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts, Project Managers and Enterprise Architects;

Our work is highly complex and confidential, so there are some things you must have to fulfil this role:
- Current NV1 security clearance
- Understanding of the Defence frameworks and policies is desirable
- Several years' experience in solution architecture or a related field
- Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design
- Good understanding of Networking, Virtualisation, Monitoring and Management, Security, Collaboration (ie email and chat), security, storage hardware and software.
