Located in the former Ringwood Fire Station built in 1929, The Firehouse is now a smokery and cocktail bar focused on fresh local produce. We are redefining the phrase local neighbourhood eatery, providing an exciting dining experience for locals and a destination worthy of travel for those outside the area.
The Firehouse includes a restaurant, wine + cocktail bar, outdoor garden for dining and drinks, private dining and function space.

About You
Experience is essential so you will have at least 3 years experience as a Sous Chef or similar role. In addition you will have:
- Knowledge of American BBQ and local cuisine trends
- Creativity for menu development
- Exceptional communication and immaculate presentation
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and lead a team
- Demonstrate positive attitude and genuine interest in the day to day operations
- Understanding of Hygiene, Food Safety and OH&S standards and compliance
- Experience in effectively maintaining and managing set ups, changeovers, closedown and handover to standard
- Use correct techniques and follow procedures and recipes when preparing and cooking menu items
- Excellent attention to detail
- Outstanding time management during preparation and service periods
- Calm and composed demeanour and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
