AddressWe are a well-established 160 seater Italian restaurant within the community of Newport & the Northern beaches. The ideal candidate for this position will be a natural leader who always has a finger on the pulse of current culinary trends. The Chef will be responsible for working as a team with our chefs, preparing meals for our diners, deliveries and takeaway customers, managing and training kitchen hands alongside our restaurant manager, kitchen inventory management and partnering with the Head Chef to come up with fortnightly new specials dishes for our dine-in menu. - Successful candidates will be joining a fun & fast-paced restaurant.
- Own transport is preferred with ample parking spaces available, however, direct public transport access also with minimal walking distance.
- Full-Time position, shift hours 2pm - 11pm
Responsibilities and Duties:
- General kitchen duties and kitchen cleanliness
- Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen
- Ensure all equipment and kitchen areas are clean and organized accordingly.
- Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep and cooking
- Meal preparation for our dine-in a la carte menu and delivering food to diners in a timely fashion
- Keep up with industry trends and create new recipes in collaboration with the other chefs
- Maintaining hygiene standards.
- Ability to withstand busy service for up to 250 pax per night.
- Required to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Keeping control of stock & ordering weekly.
