Stopmaster Brakes is looking for a full-time, Spare Parts Interpreter for an immediate start in their busy Spare Parts office in Gateshead.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge in automotive brake and clutch parts and a willingness for on the job training. Applicants will need to meet the following requirements:
- Australian Drivers license
- Must be available full time hours Monday to Friday (8:30am – 4:30pm)
- Opportunity for overtime

- Able to work autonomously, unsupervised and to share your knowledge with other staff members

- Attention to detail
- Determine the exact needs of the customer
- Ability to identify make, model and variations of vehicles. Understanding of electronic parts catalogues to identify and locate parts.
- Operate Microsoft products.
- Order parts from external suppliers
- Have understanding of pricing and discount structures.
- Prepare & finalise invoices for sale.
- Process cash/EFTPOS transactions.
- Collect, pack and dispatch ordered parts.
- Participate in stocktaking.
- Updating and maintaining operating software.
- Assisting customers.
- Previous Sales Experience
- Excellent phone and communication skills
- Automotive parts knowledge
- A strong motivation factor and desire to succeed
- The ability to work as part of a cohesive team
- High standard of accuracy & attention to detail
- Liaising and building relationships with customers and providing accurate and friendly service in person, on the phone and by email
- Identify, locate and source required parts with required urgency
- Provide pricing and availability, parts & technical assistance to customers, the sales and service team
- Maintain accurate stocktaking and inventory control
- Accurately unpack and pack stock into its correct area when received
- Customer calls and deliveries as required.
