SA Paediatrics and Newborns (SAPAN) is a well-established private practice located in North Adelaide, setting new standards in patient care, patient experience and clinical outcome. Our dedicated medical specialists and allied health professionals provide medical support, care, therapy and assessments to babies, children, teens, and their families.
We have a unique opportunity for a bubbly and friendly professional to become an integral part of our team. Offered as a casual or part time position over 3 days per week preferably working Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
- You are committed to providing a professional and comprehensive administrative support service to our diagnostic team.
- You will be accountable for delivering an ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for families, responding professionally and confidentially to all phone or email enquiries.
- You will build and enhance the delivery of all assessment services and maintain service excellence.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Deliver a customised administrative support service to our diagnostic team specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and Psycho-Educational assessments.
- Address all assessment inquiries either in writing or over the phone.
- Maintain assessment bookings, initiate template reports, distribute final reports and provide accurate information on our assessments.
- Liaise with diagnosticians in relation to appointments and assessment requirements.
- Assist reception staff with processing invoices and payments, using genie software and private health funds via hicaps machine.
- Comfort distressed patients by fixing any appointment concerns that may arise, through to being the voice of comfort during times of extreme stress and emergency.
Qualifications & experience
- Professional, efficient and friendly manner both over-the-phone and face-to-face.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Genie medical software is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and also willing to support your colleagues and demonstrate a positive attitude.
- Administration experience within an Allied Health setting specialising in booking assessments, maintaining spreadsheets and preparing/proof reading reports.
- Experience with working with government departments, education sector and medical industry is desirable.
- Self-motivated and demonstrate an ability to multi-task within a fast paced working environment.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- Current Working With Children Clearance
