Job description

Are you a passionate and experienced pharmacy professional ready to make a meaningful impact in Haematology Oncology? We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Specialist Pharmacist, bringing leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in service provision.

The position of Specialist Pharmacist – Haematology/Oncology is primarily a clinical ward based role at Gosford Hospital, providing support to other Cancer Care areas as required. This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

This recruitment may be used to fill future positions via an eligibility list for permanent, full time, part time, temporary and casual positions.

About You 

  • Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with a high level of specialist cancer care knowledge.
  • You have significant experience and a demonstrated high level of competence, expertise, skill and application of clinical judgment in clinical pharmacy services relevant to Haematology/Oncology.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality written guidelines, procedures, educational, research or business materials.
  • Hold a current unencumbered Australian Drivers Licence with the ability to travel across District sites as required.
