Our Journey
The Grade 1 Paediatric Speech Pathology Rotation is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work in across multiple areas within public health including Community Health, Monash Children's Hospital Acute Team, Victoria Paediatric Rehabilitation Service and the School Readiness Team. This position will provide an opportunity for the candidate to work with highly supportive and experienced multidisciplinary teams. Excellent training and support includes clinical supervision, discipline-specific and multi-disciplinary education programs and peer support. This full-time position starts in the School Readiness Team. Each rotation is for 12 months.
A Day in the Life
School Readiness: In the School Readiness Team, you will provide education and capacity-building support to early childhood educators and parents of children attending funded kindergarten programs. Community Health: In community health, you will work with children and their families to provide high-quality assessment, treatment and care coordination. This includes developmental screens, speech pathology assessments, as well as individual and group therapy programs. There is an opportunity to develop paediatric feeding skills.
Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service: In VPRS at Monash Children’s Hospital you will see a combination of inpatient and ambulatory clients who require time limited goal focused interdisciplinary rehabilitation. As a state-wide service there may also be travel to other VPRS sites. Acute Paediatrics: At the Monash Children’s Hospital you will work across inpatients and outpatients, in the areas of communication and of infant/paediatric feeding. The speech pathology teams at Monash Health are committed to continued learning and development, and delivering services within the Social Model of Health.

What you need:
- Speech Pathology: Appropriate Graduate Qualification and proof of Speech Pathology membership or eligibility for membership
- Current Drivers Licence without restrictions
