Are you passionate about Sport and Physical Education and dedicated to fostering a spirit of teamwork and excellence? St Hilda's is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as the Sport & Physical Education Technician. Reporting to the Head of Sport and the Head of Physical Education, as the Sport and Physical Education Technician you will be responsible for facility management and equipment movement, set up, and maintenance for IGSSA Sport, HPE Curriculum, and Inter House Carnival programs. The Sport and PE Technician will work closely with the Head of Sport and Head of Health and Physical Education, across both campuses (Senior and Junior School).
This is a permanent position working during school terms to commence as at the start of Term 2.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage facilities for IGSSA, PE Curriculum and Interhouse programs
- Equipment order, stocktake, maintenance and repair
- Ensure maintenance of all Sport and PE First Aid Kits
- Arrange materials, equipment for IGSSA fixtures and training sessions
- Manage the inventory of Sport and PE uniforms (including washing)
- Organise materials and equipment for PE Curriculum and Interhouse activities
- Preparation of and assistance with the running of Exercise Physiology Lab sessions.
- Oversee maintenance and safety checks of the Fitness Centre and equipment
- Storeroom upkeep and organisation
- Equipment assembly
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Passion for Sport and Physical Education.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Proficient in use of ICT
- Qualification in Exercise Science, Human Movement, PHYSICAL EDUCATION or related discipline.
