Where do you want to go?

As a Senior Brand Manager and marketer in the Bayer Consumer Health business, you will be charged with making real impact on the lives of consumers. By understanding the deep needs of consumers, you will be responsible for delivering on our purpose through our brands, developing brand strategy and executing on plans to delight our consumers.

To better serve the changing needs of our consumers and customers, Bayer is moving into an agile way of working, which means decision making takes place closer to the consumer, so you are empowered to operate in a creative mindset mode with the freedom to operate within agile squads and move at pace. You will work on one of our selected high priority brand portfolios, and these include allergy, women’s health, nutritionals, skin health and gut health. Our brands include Claratyne, Nasonex, Elevit, Canesten, Bepanthen, Berocca, Iberogast and Rennie.

The Consumer Health marketing team made up of15 team members, and because we are agile, this means our teams flow to where the work is, prioritising the needs of our consumers. Brand strategy

This is an important senior role within the marketing team that requires strong leadership, marketing strategy and execution along with strong financial acumen to manage brand P&Ls and deliver on targets. In this role you will:

  • Thrive on developing and drive brand strategies that meet consumer needs for your assigned portfolio, and as a result deliver on the financial ambitions and in-market performance . 
  • Hold P&L responsibility for your portfolio of brands smartly manage the P&L levers to maximise investments and growth.
  • Distinctively deliver the execution of short to long term plans, delighting consumers and customers, driving brand choice and loyalty.
  • Deliver New Product Development (NPD) pipeline that delights and meets the changing consumer needs to deliver future growth
  • Be obsessed with uncovering and leveraging consumer and shopper insights using market research to guide brand decisions, and embed the Bayer marketing excellence principles.
  • Have a strong affinity for understanding your consumer’s journey, capturing their attention, and leveraging digital channels as well as all other communication channels to execute creative campaigns. Collaborate with the New Zealand team to maximise synergies across ANZ.

Leadership

  • Actively coach and mentor others, ensuring a strong team spirit.
  • Create a collaborative culture through active role modelling.
  • Create and manage strong working relationships with internal partners and external relationship partners such as media, creative, digital, production and research agencies.
Does this sound like you?
  • Successful track record of working and leading as a Senior Brand Manager or Marketing Manager across a multi-channel portfolio (pharmacy, grocery, P&C, route and HCP).
  • Degree Qualified (or equivalent). Preferably major in Commerce, Business Studies or Marketing
  • Demonstrated success in creating, contributing and delivering marketing strategies including new product development launches.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and consultation skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with proven experience managing investment spends across communication and customer channels.
  • Strong project management, planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent influencing and partnering skills with the ability to collaborate with global colleagues to achieve results
  • Success in coaching others to develop their skills and marketing capabilities
