Based at the beautiful Cottesloe Tennis Club, Tennis Approach operates one of Perth’s largest tennis coaching programs. We are looking for an experienced Sports Administrator / Administration Assistant to help manage our busy tennis coaching program. We want someone with enthusiasm and professionalism to support all aspects of our business, with a particular focus on providing friendly and efficient customer service. We are looking for someone who can use their initiative and work independently alongside our head coach to manage all the tasks required to keep our coaching program running smoothly and our customers informed and happy. You will work in a lively environment with a fun team of coaches who love what they do and are committed to providing the best possible tennis experience and service for hundreds of customers.
What We Offer:
This role is a part time position with approximately 25 hours per week. Days and times are flexible and negotiable, but you must be able to work 3.00-5.00pm some week days as this is our busiest time of the day.
- $32.50 - $35 per hour plus superannuation
- Four weeks’ annual leave (pro-rata)
Key responsibilities of the role are:
- Answering phone calls and emails regarding all aspects of tennis and coaching
- Welcoming and assisting walk-in enquiries about coaching/club
- Assisting kids and answering parents’ enquiries during afternoon group classes
- Helping with organisation of junior competitions
- Booking lessons
- Taking customer payments
- Organising coach schedules
- Drafting pay reports
- Composing and sending email communications to customers
- Writing reports and newsletters
- Purchasing equipment
As a small company, this unique role is very much an allrounder. We are looking for someone who can handle random jobs thrown their way, plus manage all the small things for the busy team.
The role requires someone with:
- A friendly and welcoming manner and a commitment to excellent customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and the ability to learn new software
- Self-motivation, strong initiative and ability to work without supervision
- Enthusiasm and willingness to take on tasks in and out of the office
- Current Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (not essential to apply for the position)
- The right to work in Australia
- An interest in tennis or knowledge of the game would be great but not required
For the right candidate, there is scope for the role to be expanded and shaped to cater to your strengths and passions that align with the business. This may include design and creation of promotional materials, social media marketing, website management, bookkeeping, or development of office systems/procedures.
