About the opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated, appropriately qualified and experienced person to be a part of our Sports Club Liaison team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity where you will be responsible for providing provide a high level of customer service regarding sportsground, open spaces areas and other park and recreation facilities across the city. Your role as Sports Club Liaison Officer is critical in liaising with sporting bodies, clubs and external parties with regard to high level professional advice for Sports Clubs, sporting facilities and activities in a way that ensures a positive customer experience. The key responsibilities of the role include: To assist in the management and facilitation regarding the efficient use and allocation of sports fields, amenities and other sports and recreation infrastructure To ensure Councils community, sporting and recreational facilities are maximised by coordinating and maintaining constructive relationships across the city Assist with the development and implementation of a proactive program of communication with Sports Clubs and associations regarding the roles and responsibilities of clubs. Qualifications and experience Essential: Tertiary qualification in Recreation, Sports Management, Leisure Services or similar Demonstrated experience in managing community sporting facilities and the proven ability to work in a rapidly changing environment Proven experience in managing high workloads and competing demands in a timely manner with minimal supervision Experience in the delivery of high-quality customer services and community outcomes within the sport, recreation or leisure setting Highly developed negotiation, consultation, liaison and networking skills Sound knowledge and understanding of the…
