Campsie South Bowling is a small but active Bowls club that has its heart in the local community. The club has a proud history and is celebrating its 75th anniversary!
The Club are now calling for applications fromClub Managers to manage the Club’s operations and lead our small team.
Our current membership is over 1,700 and we operate a small gaming installation of 12 EGMs (with entitlements for an additional 6 EGMs). We are one of those clubs that is truly 'the heart of the community'. We are small but well loved. We offer an outsourced bistro, undercover BBQ and alfresco area, main bar and a well utilised function space. The club has seating for around 280 pax. We offer 2 well kept Bowling greens for our bowling community.
As our current manager head into retirement, we are looking for a new Club Manager who thrives on hands-on operations and leadership, aspiring to be a success in the Club industry. The successful candidate will be happy to work the days needed and be at the club in its busiest times. You will be a person who is out with the members ensuring that the customer service is at its optimum and our members expectations are exceeded. You will be a person who can readily connect with the local community and be able to foster an atmosphere of friendliness and welcoming to continue the patronage at the club.
You will be someone who can run the club successfully in all areas and be able to report the monthly results to the Board of Directors. This role demands an all-rounder, proficient in areas ranging from marketing, people management and leadership, food and beverage, gaming and general management of the facility. You will have a experience in all aspects of club or hospitality operations. You will be the person who holds the Club Licence as well as ensures compliance and adherence to legislation in all areas.
Whether you are an experienced Club General Manager, or an Operations/Duty Manager or Club Supervisor aspiring to step into an management role, Campsie South Bowling Club welcomes candidates who can contribute to our continued success.
Your role will be to:
- Lead your small team to continued success.
- Oversee the club's finances including budgets, profit and loss, governance, legislation, compliance etc.
- Manage all rostering and staffing including recruitment and onboarding.
- Manage all beverage and gaming operations including stocktake and government reporting.
- Communicate well with customers and team members.
- Utilise your understanding of club operations and Government legislation to ensure compliance and success.
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation at all times.
- Uphold a high level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Be confident in preparing monthly reports and delivering them at Board meetings.
- Show flexibility and availability across club operating hours.
- Be hands on in all areas of the business.
- Cultivate engagement and establish strong relationships within the local community.
- Proactively seek and identify opportunities for expanding membership and increasing foot traffic.
