Spray Painter Trade Assistant

As an Automotive Paint shop Trade Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting experienced automotive painters by assisting with various tasks related to paint preparation and application. Leveraging your foundational knowledge of automotive paint techniques, general trade skills, and familiarity with a variety of tools, you'll contribute significantly to the efficiency and quality of our clients paint shop operations.This position initially offers a casual engagement directly with our client for a three-month period, with the potential to transition into a permanent role thereafter.Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with paint preparation tasks according to established guidelines and specifications
• Applying your basic understanding of automotive paint application techniques to support accurate and efficient coating of surfaces.
• Demonstrating proficiency with tools such as spray guns, sanding equipment, and masking materials under the guidance of experienced professionals.
• Collaborating closely with the paint shop team to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized workspace to promote a safe and efficient working environment.

Requirements for this position:

• Basic knowledge of automotive paint application techniques and procedures.
• Eagerness to learn and support skilled automotive painters in various tasks.
• Competency in using automotive painting tools and equipment.
• A reliable work history demonstrating your commitment and dependability.
• Ability to successfully complete required screenings such as Drug & Alcohol Screening and Criminal Background Check.
• A positive attitude towards work and a strong team-oriented mindset.
