SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.This position, in consultation with the POWH Cancer Survivorship Clinical Lead, will work to develop, implement and evaluate a targeted fatigue management program through the POWH Cancer Survivorship Service to assist cancer patients manage fatigue and return to fitness.The position will contribute to a holistic assessment of the patient’s physical health and develop an individualised and tailored exercise program to meet the patient’s physical health needs and evaluate the effectiveness and acceptability of the program.The position will also work with other multidisciplinary team members of the POWH Cancer Services and POWH to deliver associated and targeted lifestyle interventions to contribute to the development of the fatigue management program as well as work to build capacity in the program.All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service.A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements.In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.SESLHD is committed to creating a workplace that reflects the diversity of our community. - Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning. For Physiotherapy Registration through the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
- Extensive post graduate clinical experience as an accredited Exercise Physiologist OR Physiotherapist in the delivery of exercise and lifestyle training to cancer patients.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice, education and support to others in providing service excellence.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
- Demonstrated active participation in developing, implementing, and reporting on services.
