Job description

I. POSITION SUMMARY The Sr. Manager, Carriers & Services Providers Alliances - AUSTRALIA (“Sr. Manager UCC”) is responsible for providing subject matter and technical expertise in sales opportunities to facilitate the pre-sales discovery and capture of business needs and opportunities, to develop and analyze solutions, and to engender confidence and credibility through client and prospect engagements. The Sr. Manager UCC will drive and establish strategic alliances with the OEM’s such as Microsoft, Zoom, Cisco, Amazon and others. The Sr. Manager UCC will lead pre-sales technical demonstrations to prospective clients explaining technical features, helping customers design architectures, and problem-solving any potential roadblocks, implement proof of concepts, and be able to articulate the value of the data and results during the final phases of the POCs. The ideal candidate will have a strong telecom background, be self-starter who has a bias toward action and has prior experience selling MS TEAMS, ZOOM and CISCO communication solutions with and through partners to multiple market segments including enterprise, healthcare, government, education, hospitality, finance, and small business. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Drive and establish strategic alliances with the OEM’s such as Microsoft, Zoom, Amazon, etc.
  • Develop & complete RFI/RFP documents, bid coordination, prospect qualification, discovery and requirements gathering, product demonstrations, technical discussions, design solution proposals and produce Proof of Concept (POC) solutions as part of solution driven sales strategy.
  • Provide in-depth subject matter expertise to support the technical relationship with prospective customers, including product and solution briefings and proof-of-concept work.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices.
  • Surface and analyze customer business requirements. Translate requirements into an Architectural design and influence the deployment of key infrastructure components.
  • Engage product team, cross-functional teams, Dev Ops team, Provisioning team, Support and downstream teams as needed.
  • Collaborate with customers, vendors, industry consultants and senior company leadership to continuously learn and identify opportunities to advance on our business strategy.
  • Understand key technical objections and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers.
  • Partner directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption.
  • Build and maintain an intimate understanding of Nuwave's products, value proposition and the competitive marketplace.
  • Illustrate the value of Nuwave solutions offered to prospects in a compelling manner.
  • Responsible for aligning the Nuwave product portfolio capabilities (products and services) with client business requirements.
  • Responsible for staying abreast of product roadmap and maintaining ability to effectively communicate roadmap to prospects and clients in support of business opportunities.
  • Analyze tools, lead tool comparisons, and make objective recommendations based on data.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation.
  • Any other duties management chooses to amend from time to time.

V. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
Required Technical Skills
  • Development & complete RFI/RFP documents, bid coordination, prospect qualification, discovery and requirements gathering, product demonstrations, technical discussions, design solution proposals and produce Proof of Concept (POC) solutions as part of solution driven sales strategy.
  • Provide in-depth subject matter expertise to support the technical relationship with prospective customers, including product and solution briefings and proof-of-concept work.
  • PSTN and legacy network migration expertise.
  • Skype to Teams migrations that involve complex telephony systems including enterprise voice, PBX, VOP systems, etc.)
  • Microsoft Intelligent Communications: Skype for Business / Teams / Direct Routing.
  • Knowledge of Software components involved in enterprise service delivery (web servers, application servers, databases, web services, mainframes, network attached storage and other related technologies)
  • Communicates technical vision and innovation ideas clearly, succinctly and persuasively to all levels of employees, customers, management and executive management.
  • 8-10 years of relevant sales experience with progressive levels of responsibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field or equivalent experience is preferred.
Preferred skills
  • Five or more years of Telecommunications experience
  • Experience with Network Infrastructure (Firewalls, Routers, Switches & Wireless)
  • Experience with WAN Technologies (MPLS, VPLS & SD-WAN)
  • Experience with global / international deployments of MS TEAMS/ Office 365 / Azure AD
  • Networking concept familiarity including but not limited to: (SNMP, DHCP, UDP, TCP, etc.)
  • Data Center Technologies (Public & Private Clouds)
Non-technical Skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex business and technical issues.
  • Excellent Technical documentation skills (High-level Design documents, Low-level design documents, Assessment reports, etc.)
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences is a must.
  • Excellent ability to successfully handle multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently. Ability to work from home with little supervision.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and matrixed cross-functional organization.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven success establishing and maintaining business relationships at all levels of the organization Team player who promotes a positive morale.
  • Organized, strategically focused, detail oriented.
  • Fast learner with a "get it done" attitude.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as agreed with Management.
  • Experience with handling and maintaining highly confidential information.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, Internet, e-mail and collaboration.
