Position Overview:
The main purpose of this position is to oversee and lead the sales results within Queensland as well as distribution. Your ability to lead, strategise and execute effective sales initiatives will directly influence the company's growth, and overall competitiveness in the marketplace.
Key responsibilities will include and are not limited to:
- Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the regional team, fostering a culture of high performance.
Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive regional strategy aligned with the overall business objectives. - Financial Management: Take full ownership of the regional Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Safety and Quality Assurance: Prioritize and enforce safety protocols and quality standards across all regional operations to ensure compliance with regulations and customer expectations.
- Sales and Margin Optimization: Drive sales growth and maximize profit margins through effective pricing strategies, customer relationship management, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Operational Efficiency: Streamline regional operations to optimize output and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements as needed.
- Employee Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that may impact regional operations or the overall business.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Communication: Effectively communicate the regional strategy, goals, and performance updates to senior leadership, employees, and stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and 100% adoption of CRM to drive operational excellence and sustainable growth
Qualifications and attributes:
- A tertiary qualification is desirable
- Sales leadership experience in growth or new market environment
- An eye for identifying and converting new business opportunities
- Self motivated
- Influential leader
- Strong relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong business acumen with P&L experience
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- A confident decision-maker
- Ability to write reports, analyse and present data
