About the role
In this self-directed role you will be building on existing and new relationships and identify new business opportunities across South Australia. Supported by an Adelaide based team, warehouse and office, most of your time will be spent on the road so there will be no shortage of customer interaction with each day bringing fresh connections, learnings and opportunity.
As we expand our business offering, this role has been created to bring new eyes to the team. We want to hear your ideas and trust you to manage your territory effectively. We’ll provide you with the tools, support, targets and training to set you up for success. This region is brimming with opportunity so bring along a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset and “let’s go” attitude and you’ll hit the ground running.
Key responsibilities
- Manage your book of business to grow sales of our adhesive tapes & other ancillary products across South Australia.
- Working with the Adelaide based internal sales and customer service Administrator Officer on order processing, warehouse and dispatch operations and stock control.
- Research and explore new business opportunities - our market is broad so opportunities are abundant
- Use Hubspot CRM to track customer interactions, create orders and generate reports
- Conduct outbound prospecting calls, visits and emails to establish new relationships
- Keep clients informed of stock & pricing movements
- Build you social media profile to interact with your customers and be a brand representative
- Connect with a wide variety of customers (Distribution & End User) – in one day you’ll be on a construction site, an office HQ and a paint shop.
- Collaborate with the other branches and head office to discuss new and exciting ideas in order to enhance ways of working
- Provide solutions to product queries and technical support and training to customers and end users
- Provide market feedback and contribute to weekly team meetings
A company car, phone and laptop will be included in the package.
We’re looking for someone with:
- A strong work ethic & drive: You’ll be in a target led environment so enjoy challenging yourself and managing your own activities with minimum supervision: You’ll often be alone on the road doing customer calls.
- Computer literate, numeracy skills and accuracy to detail: required to efficiently use Microsoft, Hubspot & our internal operating inventory management system to fill in for the Administration Officer when required.
- Communication & empathy: You’ll connect with and influence customers from a broad range of industries so tailoring your style is essential
- Hold a current Australian driver's licence and a High Risk Work Licence in order to operate a forklift.
Sales experience is well regarded however not a requirement as product and sales training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate motivation and the right attitude. Sponsorship may be considered for experienced candidates.
