State Sales Manager WA

Due to continual company growth and the Dec 2022 acquisition of a beverage manufacturing plant in Perth, we have a NEW role for a State Sales Manager in WA. The growth potential in WA is vast, creating the opportunity for you to take ownership of this territory and lead it into a highly successful future. 

As a State Sales Manager, you will deliver transformational growth with a variety of strategic customers. Balancing your time between strategic and tactical thinking, you will need to be agile with a growth and solutions-focused mindset. Our WA manufacturing plant is located in Wangara, which will be your office base when you’re not out seeing customers or working from home.  

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Key account management and drive profitable new business development. 
  • Ownership & development of the sales/growth strategy, mapping out aligned future growth vision and intentional path to value. 
  • Negotiations with customers and key stakeholders including negotiating trading terms/tenders/contracts. 
  • Clear routines in place to manage S&OP process and forecasting accuracy with business stakeholders. 
  • Understand full P&L management and key financial metrics to running a State Sales Business. 
  • Make strategic decisions that align with short- and long-term goals. 
  • Drive a strong and engaged culture, leading by example, and driving key engagement initiatives. 
  • Build relationships of trust and respect with internal stakeholders to work harmoniously towards strategic goals. 
Required Experience
  • Experience with Independent Grocery and Wholesale markets. 
  • Showcase a proven track record in account management and new business development, in a similar industry. 
  • Exceptional negotiating, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Bring an everyday ‘Growth Mindset’ with a strong passion for growing business.  
  • Demonstrates leadership internally and externally, with the ability to positively influence and engage. 
  • Availability for periodic business travel within WA and interstate.
