The Property & Employer:
Coota Park Blue-E is a seed stock operation that aims to breed cattle with superior genetics. Our client's stud herd comprises 600 cows, and they take great pride in recording feed intakes and feed efficiency data for longer than any other herd in the world. They are also involved in several research projects that focus on Feed Efficiency and Methane Emissions. The breeding program is centred around multi-trait selection, which includes feed efficiency, docility, fertility, and meat quality. It is their belief that accurate data collection is an essential part of the process of selecting superior genetics. Their team operates an efficiency testing facility at Coota Park, where they feed and test every bull that is produced to ensure they are genetically superior.
They have a small team of dedicated professionals who foster a collaborative and respectful work environment. They believe that team members should be involved in all aspects of decision-making within the business and encourage them to provide feedback and suggestions.
