ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be accountable for providing support for the development and delivery of future-oriented STEAM and Project-based Learning programs at the Casey Tech School. Find out more about Tech Schools at - www.vic.gov.au/tech-schools.
This position requires a demonstrable understanding of the secondary or tertiary education sector, as well as experience in leading a team of educators. Strong organisation and communication skills; a commitment to innovative learning; and a passion for the fields of science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics (STEAM) are essential.
The incumbent is a key and active participant of the Casey Tech School leadership team, who will ensure educational excellence, financial and budget success, create business growth and build and maintain a motivated, effective, respectful team and working environment.
Particular emphasis for this role will be on providing curriculum and technical expertise to support ‘project-based’ learning in the STEAM areas of Biomedical and Biochemical processes and emerging technologies in the Healthcare industry.
Your key accountabilities will be to:
- Supporting the Tech School Director and Head of Programs by contributing to the strategy development and operations of the Casey Tech School and driving the development and implementation of student experience and retention strategies to improve early engagement, satisfaction and success.
- Leading the delivery of responsive education programs that meet the organisation objectives and leading the engagement of industry and school partners.
- Deputising for Head of Programs as required.
- Supporting the Head of Programs in driving the embedding of curriculum programs on-site at Casey Tech School and within all partner schools across the region.
- Contributing to the development and design of teacher professional development plans to align with Casey Tech School and Chisholm strategies.

ABOUT YOU
You will have a Graduate or Bachelor's qualification in Education and a qualification in any of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts or Maths disciplines.
Crucial to your success will be your proven track record in teaching STEAM disciplines within the educational sector and your work in the STEAM areas, particularly Biomedical and Biochemical processes; and emerging technologies in the Healthcare industry.
You are highly motivated and have a strong understanding of contemporary education pedagogies, including Project-Based Learning experimental, and discovery learning and have a strong interest in STEAM education and innovative STEAM industry practices.
