The role
- Complete 3D modelling and workshop drawings for structural steel.
- Interpret architectural, engineering, hydraulic and civil plans to complete the design.
- Liaise with customers, designers, architects, engineers and interfacing trades.
- Deliver to the agreed schedules for all projects.
- Ensure the Project Managers are informed of any changes (variations, EOT’s and claims).
- Complying with Building Codes, industry standards, and company policies.
- Resolving technical queries and problem-solving.
- Advanced knowledge of steel manufacturing and fabrication.
- 5+ years’ experience working within a drafting office.
- Proficiency with Tekla structures.
- Innovative, creative and lateral thinker.
- Strong knowledge of building codes.
- Excellent communication skills and able to articulate to a variety of stakeholders and clients.
