Renowned as PNG's premier Steel Fabrication and building company, our client specialises in civil infrastructure, commercial construction, Steel Fabrication, and motor transport engineering. Their Corporate Division are currently seeking their next Steel Fabrication Division Manager who is ready to relocate and work in PNG.This position will see you based in Lae, Papua New Guinea. This is not a FIFO position and will require you to relocate to PNG.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the Steel Fabrication operations in the workshop and project sites, providing technical and commercial leadership.
- Oversee the Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, including budget preparation, cost identification and prepare monthly cost reports.
- Utilising advanced Steel Fabrication machinery and welding technology (arc and automated welding machines).
- Achieve monthly production targets, meet delivery requirements, and establish productivity norms. Oversee and manage costs in accordance with the approved budget to attain profitability targets.
- Propose improvement schemes for production processes, waste reduction, and maintain quality standards whilst minimising reworks and defects.
- Guide the team in preparing offers/quotations to clients, participating in tenders and following up enquiries to convert into work orders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- The ability and adaptability to quickly grasp and settle into the role, achieving productivity promptly.
- Proven capability to resolve issues practically while upholding the highest standards of Steel Fabrication and business administration within the division.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience holding a Senior Management position.
- Qualified Boilermaker to AS/NZ standards
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business
- Experience in diverse company activities and multi-skilled in supplying a large array of high-quality (AS/NZ) steel fabricated products.
