Salary: $106,142.00 - $125,241.00 base per annum

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Sterile Services Manager to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to quality care in the Sterile Processing Centre. The primary function of the position involves the co-ordination and management of all sterilizing services in the Sterile Processing Centre for the Operating Suite and the St Vincent’s Public Hospital Campus by providing effective leadership and management of the Sterilising Services team.
The role will also ensure the quality and timely delivery of reprocessed and reusable medical devices to the Operating Suite, Endoscopy, Kinghorn Cancer Centre, Cath Lab, ED, ICU and various other inpatient ward areas, clinics and outpatient areas across the across the St Vincents Public Hospital Campus.
The position is responsible to ensure the reprocessing of reusable medical devices provided complies with Australian and National health standards and policies. The position is also responsible for instrument tracking and inventory management.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Comprehensive understanding of Instrument Management and Sterilising Services and the requirements for reprocessing of reusable medical devices in accordance with AS4187.
3. Certificate III in Sterilisation Services [HLT 37015] and Management Qualifications or working towards same
4. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in staff management
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in computer information systems relevant to the role
6. Demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development.
7. Demonstrated experience in quality improvement activities and a Strong commitment to OH&S and Infection Control principles and responsibilities.
