The role
Reporting to our Project and Facilities Manager, you will be an integral member of our Facilities Team. The role is primarily based at Coombabah on the Gold Coast, but some travel to other sites will be required at times. The Stock Controller is responsible for effectively managing the end-to-end flow of the day-to-day general supplies and uniforms essential for our organisation to operate efficiently and effectively. Duties are to be completed in an effective and efficient manner whilst complying with safe work procedures.
- Purchasing: manage the day-to-day activities for central store stock and general supplies such as: consumables, stationery, cleaning, chemicals, uniforms, first-aid and animal food transfers.
- Stock control: manage orders and distribution of central store stock and general supplies for both internal departments and external sites as per process.
- Demonstrate effective stock management controls ensuring:
- Supplies are maintained at a quantity which is efficient and effective,
- Supplies are stored neatly and safely,
- Orders are processed in a timely manner,
- Timely dispense and dispatch of general supplies to departments and sites as per process,
- Accurate dispense and dispatch of general supplies to departments and sites as per process,
- Accurate invoicing is conducted.
- Stock control, in conjunction with the team, accepts deliveries, unpack and store stock, control inventory of the general central stock items.
- Reporting: provide monthly reporting of stock movements.
About you
You will be a friendly, energetic, self-motivated and organised individual who takes pride in the smooth running of general supply stock control. You can work autonomously, make sound decisions, manage time effectively and thrive on having an area of responsibility in our organisation. You will understand the importance of professionally maintaining appropriate quantities, enough – but not too much - to ensure supply meets demand within budgets. You will be a great communicator and work well with others due to your ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Key criteria
- Availability: able to work Tuesday to Friday 12pm to 5pm.
- Experience: minimum 1-year in a similar role.
- Safe work: this is a physically demanding role, must be able to comply with safe work procedures for self and others.
- Verbal skills: friendly and professional with individuals from various backgrounds.
- Written skills: communicate effectively and professionally.
- Accuracy: very good abilities with attention to detail and working with numbers.
- Organisational: neat and tidy excites you - ability to manage time and competing priorities, demonstrating timely response periods.
- Technological: competent computer skills with Outlook email and Excel.
- Drivers Licence.
- Forklift Licence will be required, you may not currently hold this, but will be required to obtain after employment.
- Police Check will be required, you may not have one now but will be required to obtain during employment process.
Desirable
- Flexibility to work additional hours if required.
