The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Stores Officer to join the APA Networks team in Somerville, VIC, on a Permanent and Fulltime basis.

Reporting to the Stores Lead/Supervisor, you will be accountable for the timely and efficiently supply of materials for the APA gas distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general functions related to the Store's operations including receipting, stocktake, placing orders, raising PO's etc.
  • Issue items as per documentation received to satisfy customer requirements
  • Ensure the inventory records are in line and arrange for any discrepancies to be corrected
  • Provide responses to internally and externally initiated queries related to Store's operations
  • Develop effective and proactive working relationships with internal and external customers

About You

  • Strong attention to detail and meticulous in checking and recording inventory to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to organise and store products efficiently is crucial for managing a store's inventory effectively
  • Time management skills and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with constant incoming and outgoing stock
  • Ability to problem solve and quick to identify and address issues or discrepancies in inventory
  • Prior experience in dealing with customers and contractors and maintenance personnel is desirable

Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.

This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics. Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.
