PRINCE WINE STORE – is a leading integrated wine business in Australia, recently voted one of the top ten iconic wine stores in the world. With retail stores in Melbourne and Sydney – direct importing and wholesale distribution, wine education, wine events and our hospitality/wine bar -Bellota. We are dynamic mid- sized business with 50 + employees.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a bookkeeping professional who will have primary focus on the payables side of the business, from importing, entering, reconciling and paying creditors across multiple entities with a high volume of transactions.
Deal with creditor queries; investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues internally and externally
Requires some understanding of how systems interface.
We currently use Qdos and Reckon and will consider other system exposure- please outline this in your cover letter
Outstanding reconciliations skills with suppliers and multiple payment channels
Regular management of emails, incoming phone calls and general ad hoc duties
Reporting to and liaising with Finance Manager
The role does require an element of administration support for the team
This role is full time, office based in our South Melbourne head office
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience working in a similar ‘hands-on’ role
Very strong in your knowledge of accounting practices and principles
Attention to the detail in a timely and efficient manner.
A reconciliation guru with a high degree of problem solving.
Exposure to hospitality and retail would be desirable.
Intermediate excel skills.
Excellent time management skills
