Strategic Business Advisor

Our NSW Government client is hiring for a highly capable Strategic Business Advisor. This is a chance to gain exposure/ learning opportunities around the activities and business undertaken by the Strategic Finance, Audit and Risk Team within a rapidly evolving NSW Government organisation. The ideal candidate will have prior Government experience and be able to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders around governance, delivery and policy processes.Role Title: Strategic Business AdvisorContract Length: Till 12th of July with a chance of extending.Hourly Payrate: $65 - $75 + Super p.h.Location: Parramatta (2150)/WFH HybridRole Requirements:

• Coordinate and support a wide range of activities to deliver the Savings and Revenue Plan (SRP) including preparing regular reports and updates and working with consultants and project teams across the organisation.
• Develop frameworks, operating models, and recommendations to improve business outcomes.
• Contribute to, prepare and coordinate strategic and insightful business advice on strategic and operational matters.
• Build collaborative and consultative relationships to support the delivery of priorities and business outcomes with stakeholders and external service providers.

Key Challenges:

• Anticipating and understanding contentious issues, identifying practical solutions and coordinating fair and balanced advice within tight timeframes.
• Being able to negotiate pragmatic outcomes for the benefit of the organisation as a whole.
• Managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

Experience & Skills:

• Understanding of the machinery of government, the policy process and organisational governance.
• Tertiary qualifications in public relations, policy or related discipline and/or relevant equivalent experience in strategy and project management activities.
