Strategic Sales Business Development Manager OceaniaWe are looking for a Strategic Sales Business Development Manager for the Oceania markets, especially in Australia and New Zealand. This position is reporting directly to the Managing Director Oceania and will be based in Australia or New Zealand. The incumbent is responsible for driving business growth with existing partnerships and new clients, develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue, in line with projected income.
To ensure that Customer Experience is maximised through effective and efficient administration of our service partners. This role includes contract negotiation and key account management and new Business Development. You will be supporting the sales activities by providing excellent service to customer and taking control over critical commercial issues and resolve, escalate and/or close cases.
You will manage the day-to-day operational issues from both internal stakeholders (Operations, Sales & Marketing) and external stakeholders (local partners & customers) to ensure smooth operations in both Customer Service and Operations functions.
Your Tasks
• Creating development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections.
• Meeting existing and potential clients and building positive relationships.
• Liaising with colleagues to develop sales and marketing strategies.
• Identifying market opportunities through meetings, networking and other channels.
• Training business developers and sales colleagues.
• Preparing sales presentations, management reports, financial projections and sales targets.
• To establish the market positioning of Asendia as a cross-border e-Commerce company in Australia/New Zealand
• Building sales/partnership pipelines in Oceania to sell Asendia products.
• Supporting sales agents/partners in achieving sales targets for Asendia and partners.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business Administration or relevant disciplines; or with equivalent relevant work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Account Management/Business Development/Sales in cross border logistics (Express or Postal).
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships, manage stakeholder relationships, negotiate and influence outcomes and represent Asendia at internal and external meetings and functions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer-oriented mindset, self-driven and strong business acumen
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and knowledge of another language is a plus.
- Travel is required between New Zealand and Australia (50%)
