We are seeking a Strategic Program Analysis and Evaluation Lead to play a pivotal role in effectively translating regulatory policy concepts into actionable implementation strategies to drive a culture of integrity in VBA’s Trusted Regulator strategy.
Position overview
The VBA has commenced on a significant reform program, with a focus on becoming a Trusted Regulator (notionally called the ‘Trusted Regulator program'). This program encompasses organisational delivery (including consumer and operational excellence), regulatory delivery, and government reform delivery, all with the aim of improving VBAs support of consumer outcomes.
The Strategic Program Analysis and Evaluation Lead position within the Reform Management Office (RMO) will be responsible for collaborating closely with the Strategy, Assurance and Risk division as well as key stakeholders to review the pipeline of upcoming RMO initiatives, evaluate and assess how they align with strategic priorities, and provide recommendations to the RMO Executive Director regarding the prioritisation and sequencing of initiatives.
Overall, this role will play a pivotal role in effectively translating regulatory policy concepts into actionable implementation strategies by using a combination of strategic thinking, regulatory expertise, project evaluation, and stakeholder management skills, ultimately driving a culture of integrity in VBA's Trusted Regulator strategy.
What we are looking for:
demonstrated understanding of policy, regulatory and industry environment relevant to VBA
extensive knowledge and experience in regulatory policy analysis
analytical skills, and the ability to systematically work through ambiguous information
experience providing high quality written advice, ministerial briefings, and other relevant documentation
experience in providing high-level strategic advice including the formulation of recommendations, action plans and Strategic Programs
