About the Role
We are seeking a highly talented Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team and provide critical project support on a range of University wide programs that deliver a positive impact in our leadership, talent, and performance programs. As a Project Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work on strategic initiatives that shape how the University attracts, retains and develops talent.
With new projects and initiatives being introduced regularly, you will work on a variety of topics. Some of our recent initiatives include AWiL and Jawun. AWiL is the Academic Women in Leadership Program (AWiL) which aims to address the under-representation of women in higher-level academic appointments.
The Jawun Development Program is a non-for-profit organization dedicated to place-based capacity building, to empower Indigenous-led change and foster meaningful connections between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. Our University has been a Partner with Jawun since 2017, the first University to do so.
This role provides a fantastic chance to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, to shape and support multiple projects, and to further develop your expertise in this field.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • As a member of the SPI team, support delivery of a range of initiatives related to leadership and learning, performance and careers, culture, talent and capability.
  • Work collaboratively with a wide range of University stakeholders to coordinate projects and programs delivered through the SPI team.
  • Provide high quality project coordination support through the development and implementation of project documentation, communications, stakeholder materials, and logistics coordination.
  • Provide administrative support and coordination for talent related activity including vendor management, candidate liaison, supporting documents and logistics associated with interviews, onboarding and induction of Executive appointments.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking individuals with a proven track record of project coordination and can effectively establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as your keen attention to detail, are essential for success in this role. In addition, you possess strong organizational abilities and are adaptable to working in a diverse and complex environment.
  • You will also have:
  • Relevant qualification in HR or a related discipline, including and/or project co-ordination, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement and professionalism to work with a high level of confidentiality especially in relation to Executive talent acquisition
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage knowledge from experience in working in large scale professional environments
