Strategic Projects Officer - Waste And Sustainability

Public Sector People are currently recruiting a Waste and Sustainabilty project officer for a metro council in the Northern suburbs. This is an initial four month contract.

In this role , you will contribute to the development and implementation of key Strategic Projects for tge Waste and Sustainability Department, including strategies, policies, programs and events.

You will gather qualitive and quantitative data from a variety of sources and prepare reports to inform planning and decision making for the Waste and Sustainability department.

We are seeking a Band 6 officer, ideally with previous local government experience. This is a four month contract initially. 

Selection Criteria

• Relevant degree or diploma in and experience in Waste and Sustainability planning and policy, project management, local government, business administration or a related Waste and Sustainability orientated industry or lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience
• Experience in progressing work programs and ensuring adherence to key timelines, including proven project management skills.
• Sound understanding of the Waste and Sustainability sector and the long-term goals of Council in relation to the Waste and Sustainability Department.
