Planned Resources is currently seeking a Strategic Project Officer to join a northern Municipal's team on a contracted basis. As a Strategic Project Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing Strategic Projects within the community services space, from initiation to completion. Your primary role will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- A ‘customer first’ approach with a high level of consultation, presentation, liaison, and influencing skills
- Collaborating with the team and providing strategic advice for delivery of the key initiatives and outcomes
- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure project goals are achieved
- Manage project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans
- Coordinate project activities with internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct project evaluations and prepare project reports
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulations
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates to senior management
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
- Strong experience within community services (planning and policy, analysis, and/or investigating)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills
