As Tasmania’s electricity network services provider, TasNetworks delivers a safe, cost-effective, and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers. They operate in a sector undergoing a major transition, driven by renewable energy expansion, changing technologies, increasing consumer engagement, and new energy products and services.
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you will lead strategic and business planning activities enterprise wide. Engaging and influencing executives will be a key factor in enhancing decision making, clarity and adoption across strategy development and Planning. Your leadership and focus on developing individuals will enable your team to effectively support business leaders in converting the strategic agenda into actionable and measurable plans.
This opportunity suits a strategy or management consultant (with some strategy exposure) or an individual with corporate experience who has led or been a key contributor towards strategic planning outcomes at a business unit or company wide level.
Your relationship and influencing skills have been fundamental to your success in working with senior stakeholders in complex operating environments. Experience in the electricity sector is not essential as you have the ability to quickly understand core business drivers, operating frameworks and industry dynamics. You have proven yourself as an effective leader either in a project or direct team context. A tertiary qualification is ideal.
The role is based in Hobart and cannot be performed remotely from an interstate location. Relocation assistance will be provided.
