A bit about the role
The Strategy Planning and Performance Officer will support the implementation of Council’s integrated strategic planning processes and frameworks. You will be responsible for enhancing, maintaining, and refining the Council's collection of internal and external performance reports.
You will also be required to develop, enhance, and manage the Council's performance reporting systems and data environments to ensure the generation of accurate, timely, and strategically insightful reports.
What you’ll deliver
- Design, develop and implement reports that demonstrate Council’s performance, in accordance with organisational priorities and/or statutory obligations.
- Develop effective working relationships across the organisation and with key stakeholders to ensure consistent and integrated strategic planning outcomes are achieved.
- Facilitate workshops and engagement initiatives with stakeholders related to integrated Planning and strategic performance analysis.
- support the delivery of key strategic planning initiatives and decision-making forums.
- Provide general system administration support for Council’s corporate Planning and Performance reporting software including scoping and implementing changes and enhancements.
- Manage the governance and maintenance of data standards within corporate Planning and Performance reporting environments to improve accuracy and consistency.
What you’ll bring
- Experience preparing performance and statutory reports.
- Ability to use data to analyse and interpret trends and identify issues.
- Understanding of corporate Planning and Performance reporting fundamentals.
- Strong relationship building skills, including the ability to support system users across Council.
- Experience with software products (PowerBI, CAMMS, Excel and Word) is desirable.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check and Eligibility to Work check.
- A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
